Short email to let you know about some recent news/updates for the site requested by Members (spoiler: yes… I am finally giving you captaincy EV…).

Remember you can view all of the data for GW15 and beyond at any time on the site (goals, clean sheets, win %, etc.).

Model Performance vs Markets

I am happy to say that the team model has continued to stay competitive with markets even after 14 weeks. Whilst the amount I am beating the markets by might not be that impressive, it would probably still be good process to always validate your impressions of market data with my model data (remember my model uses zero inputs from markets).

npxGI Interactive Charts

I have added two new interactive charts to the website which display the npxGI versus Team Attack rating. I think this is quite an interesting chart and a novel way of combining player/team data. You can infer some things about player share + contribution from them. I will do my best to keep these updated but the player npxGI may lag a week or two behind if I am busy.

FPL Captaincy Matrix Predicted Points

As some of you may be aware, there is a predicted points model that powers the Fast Fantasy model. I often get requests to share the numbers behind the model, especially so people can have more context to the Captaincy star order. I really do not want to do this because (1) it is too much extra work; (2) FPL Review exists and is better; and (3) I think it undermines the whole philosophy of Fast Fantasy (my approach to playing Fantasy that can help you with strategy and idea generation).

However, as it has been so requested by Members, as a compromise I have created a live-updating table to display the top 5 captaincy options for the next 3 GWs. This is available in the Members Area and also at the bottom of the Fast Fantasy page.
